As accidents at work in the construction industry continue to make for alarming reading, we have been focused on improving the safety of the industry's biggest risk areas, including working at height and unloading roof trusses.
We have put a number of significant safety measures in place to prevent the risks associated with unloading trusses. We can supply trusses pre-slung, which means no-one gets on to the lorry to unload. The slings are placed in the correct position in the factory, reducing risks of slingers putting them in the wrong position, and once they are on the roof the slings are cut off.
