The cost of your roof trusses will depend on various factors. To get an accurate quote for roof trusses, you will need to have the following details before you start the process:

What truss options are available? (Main types of Trusses)

• 35mm standard roof truss: the standard roof truss used for the majority of new build houses across the UK. These trusses can also be used for garages and extensions, as well as self-build projects.
• Attic standard overhang: these trusses are used when habitable space is required within the room zone. These trusses are designed as attic style with larger sections of timber to support additional loadings which allow people to live within the truss zone.
• Attic standard overhang, attic cantilevered eaves and attic stubbed eaves all refer to the end detail of the truss only, where the trusses bear onto the wall heads.
• 35mm mono: these are sloped in one direction and often used in porches and for hip end.

Factors that can affect the cost:

Several different factors can affect the cost of roof trusses, that is why it is important to budget for them at the project planning phase. For example, the complexity of the trusses required and also the space between the trusses, when installed, will affect the cost. Our truss designs are quoted based on 600mm centre to centre spacing wherever possible, but if this was to be decreased due to additional loads such as underfloor heating, more trusses would be required for the overall area and would, therefore, raise the total cost to support the weight. Also, if the truss span is over 12 metres, then it would require heavy timbers as per building codes, and this again would affect the cost significantly.
